It's been months since I last sat down for some quiet to write here, and I regret that for two reasons:
- I need to practice writing all the time if I am ever going to write anything of serious length.
- I think things all the time, but later forget them because I did not jot them down.
There is one thing I have found to be true: the stress of weddings comes solely from external human sources.
During my wedding planning venture, apart from the fact that I was in school full-time, there were really no problems. I had fun being creative, planning logistics, inviting people to help, assigning names to tasks, etc., etc. I had fun most with decorating. There was no stress in the process, save the uneasiness of spending so much of my parents' money, which would happen any time I spent that much of my parents' money!
Then it started getting closer---one, maybe two, weeks away. And because I have made a new year's resolution to keep my blog posts shorter, the rest of the story will have to wait. :]
"Thank you, Rachel, for stopping mid-story."
You're welcome.
